This class is offered to students who are of the age to enter Kindergarten. Students must be 5-years old on or before August 1st.
All students entering kindergarten will be tested to make sure they are ready to meet the academic challenges this class provides. We do have very limited space available as the class maximum is 16 students.

Kindergarten offers education to face real life situations, places importance on knowledge and fosters the child’s physical, emotional and intellectual growth. Kindergarten Studies Include:
Numbers skills and Writing Tablet
Includes practice and evaluation of number concepts from 1-100, number formation, number words, simple combinations, money and telling time. Seatwork and oral exercises are used to evaluate students’ progress.
Letters and Sounds
Includes short and long vowel sounds, consonant and vowel blends, one and two vowel words, special sounds and sentence comprehension. Seatwork and oral exercises are used to evaluate students’ progress and progress incentive awards are used throughout the year.
Reading will include blends and workbooks as well as 12 basic phonics readers.
Features coloring pages, directed art pages, and other activities designed to aid a young child in developing writing readiness, eye-hand coordination, visual perception, and listening / thinking skills
Includes God’s plan for: Me, Weather, Seasons, Seeds, Animals and the Seashore
Includes studies of: Community Helpers, Beginning American History, Countries Around the World, Children of the World and Simple Geography.
The students are taught Bible stories, songs and verses. We use worksheets that correlate with Bible lessons form Genesis and the life of Christ.
Includes month to month projects, which include coloring, painting, tracing, cutting and gluing. Correlates with academics, Bible teaching and the seasons.
Kindergarten students receive report card grades every 6 weeks after the first 6 weeks of school. Tardiness and absences are recorded on their report card and become part of their permanent school records.
