Learn-A-Lot offers to children who have one year left before entering kindergarten. Students must be 4-years old on or before August 1st.
The Pre-K class curriculum is a structured 5-days a week class. This program is designed to teach students to read. We have a minimum of 4 days enrollment in this class. We have found children who do not attend 5-days a week may not be able to keep up with the rest of the class. This is very hard on the students self esteem and also tends to hold the rest of the class back.
“Learn-A-Lot Christian Preschool” prepares children from preschool age on up through Pre-K and Kindergarten with diverse progressive teaching/learning assistance in skill training in distinct areas of learning.
Our mission is to provide the Pre-K exceptional education needed by your child in a unique, warm and nurturing environment. Our program is intentionally made to educate to every area of advancement.
Pre-K Studies Include:
Concepts and writing of numbers from 1 – 20
Counting from 1 – 100
Recognition of upper and lower case and printing of all letters.
Short and long vowel sounds, simple consonant sounds, blending of consonants and vowels, and words containing one and two vowels.
Features coloring pages, directed art pages, and other activities designed to aid a young child in developing writing readiness, eye-hand coordination, visual perception, and listening / thinking skills
Art gives the children the opportunities to enjoy art as they develop the motor skills needed to draw, color, cut and paste. Monthly projects introduce young children to basic art and craft concepts and correlate with academics, bible teaching, holidays and seasons.
Children attend a junior chapel everyday. Bible stories, songs and verses are taught. Bible is reinforced in crafts and other studies.
Concepts are introduced by means of pictures, stories, songs, poems and games. Children develop their language skills as they learn new vocabulary words. They increase listening skills as they listen to new information and then answer questions. They strengthen their motor skills as they participate in fun games and activities. And they develop an appreciation of god’s creation as they learn about the world around them.
At “Learn-A-Lot Christian Preschool” we consider that well trained employees as well as an excellent Curriculum provides students with an important edge in their education and general well-being.
